Our Merchant Banking Group partners with management teams to create value in attractive business niches. Companies typically possess existing or emerging strong market positions and the potential for accelerated growth. We work with management to develop and execute strategic plans, identify and negotiate acquisitions, and ensure adequate access to multiple forms of capital.

We seek to invest in domestic companies with sustainable cash flows of greater than $1.5 million and enterprise values of $5 million to $100 million. We generally do not invest in start up, early stage, cyclical, or high technology projects. In addition, we are primarily focused on the following types of opportunities:

Recapitalizations of Closely Held Businesses
We provide existing ownership with liquidity to diversify wealth, while still benefiting from the growth of the Company through a retained interest in the business. Our principals are highly sensitive to many of the non-economic issues involved in closely held businesses and drive for a win-win situation for all parties.

Industry Consolidations
We partner with management teams to create leading companies in fragmented industries. We proactively identify industries poised for consolidation and invest in businesses whose profitability and value can be enhanced through complementary acquisitions.

Acquisition of Corporate Divisions/Subsidiaries
We invest with management teams to acquire non-strategic divisions/subsidiaries of larger corporations. Once independent and with management participating in the ownership, these businesses can benefit from the resources and strategic vision that we provide.

Distressed and Stranded Investments
We provide strategic and tactical catalysts necessary to spawn growth and drive value in investments and/or assets hampered by changes in the economic markets. Stalled consolidations, non-strategic holdings, as well as distressed and bankruptcy assets that offer an independent platform are of particular interest.
