Formed in 2001, Atlantic American Mortgage Fund I was a $15.75 million (unleveraged) fund jointly sponsored by Atlantic American and Directed Capital Resources to acquire performing and sub-performing commercial real estate mortgages, restructure the mortgages as required, and dispose or seek repayment of such mortgages. Over its entire life span, the fund acquired over $125 million in commercial real estate mortgages.

The fund closed December 31, 2006 and Directed Capital Resources has subsequently raised DCR Fund I and DCR Mortgage Partners III, and is in the process of raising of DCR Mortgage Partners IV.
