David Maruca joined Atlantic American in April of 2005 as a Vice President. Mr. Maruca was brought on board to help establish the firm’s Institutional Placement Group, a division created to structure and market Atlantic American’s and third party private equity fund offerings.
Prior to joining Atlantic American, Mr. Maruca gained three years experience as a Vice President at Meridian Investments, Inc., a NASD Broker/Dealer where he was responsible for the placement of institutional equity for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) qualified investment programs and tax advantaged programs such as Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Non-conventional Fuel Tax Credits, Renewable Energy Tax Credits and CRA Preferred Share offerings.
Mr. Maruca earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance from Westfield State College. Mr. Maruca is a member of the NASD and sits on the Community Advisory Board of the Neighborhood Lending Partners of West Florida, Inc., a consortia of banks, thrifts, local governments and the affordable housing community, whose mission is to address the affordable housing and community finance needs throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Maruca has also been elected to the board of directors of Shake-A-Leg, headquartered in Newport, RI. From its inception in 1982, this non-profit 501(c)(3) organization has achieved national recognition for designing complimentary rehabilitation programs for those with spinal cord injury and other neurological disorders. Shake-A-Leg, through the Wall Street Corporate Challenge Cup, a sailing regatta, has raised over $2,000,000 through the combined generous giving of America’s top investment, legal and corporate firms.
