ATLANTIC AMERICAN OPPORTUNITIES FUND I
Atlantic American Opportunities Fund I raised $11,500,000 from 23 EB-5 investors. During the height of the global economic recession, we successfully invested in four grocery-anchored neighborhood shopping centers – an asset class that typically performs well in good and bad economies, and an example of our focus on making investments in safe, market-driven projects.
Meres Town Center
Opportunities Fund I made a $3,500,000 investment in Meres Town Center, a neighborhood shopping center located in Tarpon Springs, which is near Tampa, Florida.
Anchored by a 37,000 square foot Sweetbay Supermarket, Meres Town Center also includes 10,000 square feet of inline retail space and sits adjacent to the 163-bed Florida Hospital North Pinellas and soon to be developed Meres Crossing apartments.
Lauderdale Manor
Opportunities
The property was acquired in November 2011 from its senior lender, who had foreclosed on the property due to the prior owner’s financial instability. Lauderdale Manor was able to attract two new anchor tenants, DD’s Discounts, and Family Dollar, which supported the majority of the project’s job creation.
Horizon Park
Opportunities Fund I made a $3,500,000 investment in Horizon Park, a 219,900 square foot neighborhood shopping center located in the Tampa, Florida.
The property offers “necessity retail” shops, including grocery, clothing, self-service laundry, convenience items, banking, and casual dining. Horizon Park is anchored by Babies R’ Us, Northern Tool and Equipment, Office Depot, Guitar Center, Save A Lot Grocery Store and Dollar General. These anchor tenants account for approximately 63% of the gross leasable area at the property.
Washintgon Shores
Opportunities Fund I made a $1,500,000 investment in Washington Shores, a 45,370 square foot neighborhood shopping center offering “necessity retail” shops, including grocery, convenience items, and casual dining.
Located in the Washington Shores neighborhood of Orlando, Florida, Washington Shores is anchored by Save A Lot Grocery Store and Family Dollar. These anchor tenants account for approximately 72% of the gross leasable area at the property.
