Monica Donosso joined CEA Group / Atlantic American Partners in 2012 and currently serves as Director of Tax / Controller overseeing the tax reporting and tax research for our private equity funds, including the Atlantic American EB-5 funds.  Monica’s responsibilities with respect to CEA Group and Atlantic American’s management of domestic and international private equity funds include tax return preparation and filings, GAAP financial statement preparation and recordings, as well as tax research as it relates to the formation and ongoing activities of the private equity funds.

Prior to joining the firm, Monica worked as a Senior Tax Associate in the Tax Department of KPMG, LLP in Chicago.  As part of the Financial Services Group, Monica prepared taxes for private equity funds, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals.  Monica also has worked for a local medical/dental tax practice in California, as well as a member firm of the BDO Seidman Alliance, providing taxation services to a variety of clients.

Monica attended Brigham Young University where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy in Taxation degrees, with a Minor in French.  She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the states of Florida and Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
